About
The A.B. McDonell Vision Fund is the cornerstone of all fundraising for McDonell Area Catholic Schools. Since 1907, when A.B. McDonell built the McDonell Memorial High School in memory of his wife and children, philanthropy has been a cornerstone of our Catholic schools. This tradition continues today through the generosity of alumni, current parents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, and friends. Our community’s collective annual fund gifts preserve and enhance the MACS experience. The most significant contribution any of us can make to MACS is to the A.B. McDonell Vision Fund.
A.B. McDonell made his vision clear: “This school should provide no or low-cost tuition to every family who wishes to obtain for their children a Catholic education.”

This is an annual fund supporting McDonell Area Catholic Schools. The fund is made up of annual gifts from alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of MACS. All gifts are unrestricted contributions that allow us to fulfill the vision of A.B. McDonell and serve the greatest need.

OUR MISSION: Centered on Jesus Christ and His Church, we partner with families to nurture young people’s spiritual, intellectual, physical, and moral formation through a PreK-12 Catholic liberal arts education and vibrant student life of discipleship, athletics, and the arts.
OUR VISION: MACS will be a beacon of faith, hope, and love by inspiring each student to embrace his or her identity as a beloved son or daughter of God, while discovering and developing their unique gifts.
We will immerse students and families in an authentic Catholic culture which fosters love of truth, beauty, and goodness. We will challenge all students to pursue academic excellence, critical thinking, and intellectual inquiry.
We will prepare McDonell graduates to be a transforming force within society, sharing the Gospel and working for the common good as productive, virtuous citizens.
OUR CORE VALUES
Faith, honor, academic excellence, healthy living, community, and servant leadership
